Frequently Asked Questions
-
Which A-level exam boards do you specialise in?
Our experienced tutors are experts in the syllabi and mark schemes of all major UK exam boards, including: AQA, OCR, Pearson Edexcel, Cambridge IGCSE and WJCE.
How can tutoring help me to achieve top grades at A-level?
Studies show that quality private tuition has a big impact on A-level results. Our highly effective exam-focused approach allows us to quickly identify where a student needs to improve and create a learning plan that guides them towards their goals. By familiarising students with the exam structure and mark scheme we encourage confidence and preparedness. Additionally, we teach advanced research methods, essay writing and critical thinking skills that enhance students’ performance across all subjects. The overwhelming majority of our students exceed their target grades.
Do you provide guidance on university applications and personal statements?
Yes. Humanitas Learning has helped countless students into top universities, including Oxford, UCL and Edinburgh. As first-class graduates and PhD students ourselves, we know exactly what universities are looking for and can provide expert guidance with writing applications.

We offer a personalised approach structured around the requirements and goals of the individual student. We also use a range of bespoke leaning resources, including model answers and essay templates, created in-house by our expert team.
Do all lessons take place virtually?
All lessons take place in our interactive virtual classroom. We have found this method to be flexible, convenient, and less invasive for clients. Our online classroom allows us to utilise presentations, videos and various digital platforms to enhance students learning, all from the comfort your own home.
