University Tutoring for the Humanities
At Humanitas, we recognise the complex demands of BA and MA study. Our experienced university-level tutors are all PhD candidates who hold first-class master’s degrees from Russell Group universities. With advanced research methods and expertise, we specialise in guiding students towards lasting academic success. We offer personalised one-to-one support tailored to your specific requirements, cultivating primary source analysis, essay and dissertation writing skills and critical thinking.
We delve into complex theoretical frameworks, from Kantianism to New Historicism, honing advanced research methodologies and refining sophisticated argumentation. Through rigorous (but friendly) intellectual discourse, in-depth analysis and detailed written feedback, we empower students to excel at university and embark upon successful careers.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Do you tutor for specific university courses?
Yes. Our team of first class MA graduates and PhD students tutor a range of humanities degree courses, from Philosophy and History to Politics and International Relations. We also offer guidance in specific model topics that align with our research specialism and interests. By offering help rather than answers, we give students the tools they need to develop an original and tightly argued thesis, whatever their chosen topic.
How can tutoring help me succeed at university level?
According to a recent survey, one in five university students hire a private tutor. At Humanitas Learning, we specialise in giving students the tools they need to achieve lasting academic success. We cultivate essay writing skills and advanced research methodologies, while delving into primary source analysis and complex theoretical frameworks, giving you the firm foundation you need to stand out in essays and dissertations.
Do you provide support for essay writing, research and dissertations?
Absolutely! We specialise in expert coaching for all stages of the process. We can assist with research and development, recommending papers and helping you to refine your ideas, right through to offering detailed feedback on your draft. Our tutors have produced first class dissertations themselves and know exactly what markers are looking for. We can teach you the theoretical vocabulary, essay writing skills and analytical rigour required to reach the top grades.

We also use a range of bespoke leaning resources, including model answers and essay templates, created in-house by our expert team.
Do all lessons take place virtually?
